About Me

My photo
I created this blog to keep everyone updated about how things are going with my GAP year. I left the US on August 26th and returned May 4th. During GAP year I was taking classes in Spanish, theology, evangelism, and missions. I was working in a ministry called Metro, went to a Spanish church called Principe de Paz, and an English church called GGP. In the GAP year program I had the opportunity to be part of a weekly discipleship/small groups with the leaders in Costa Rica. God did great and mighty things in my life!! I am learned so much and I am falling more in love with Jesus, His word, and His people everyday! I would love it if you would continue to pray for me. Thanks for all of your support!

Battle Cry

PRAYER IS POWERFUL
Starting at 10pm on Sunday night to 10pm Monday evening us GAP students were praying 24 hours straight in 2 hours shifts. I cannot describe how amazing this prayer time was. My roommates and I prayed from 2-4am. We all agreed that the 2 hours of prayer went by quickly and we wanted to pray for longer than our 2 hours. I know that I personally don't pray enough and this rekindled a passion for prayer not only for me, but many of us. God was revealing Himself to us, changing our hearts, opening our eyes, humbling us, and drawing us closer to Him. It was just great setting aside that time to spend alone with God. I can already see how God has broken down bearers between everyone in GAP and given us a new love for one another. We all want to do this again next semester!

The room we had set up to pray in. We had a board to write praises and one for prayer requests. Before this anyone that wanted to right down things to pray for could do so and put them in a bowl for us to pray for individually during this time.

This is the board of praises of what God has done!!! God is working in amazing ways!!!!

What other students said about Battle Cry: Ellen a fellow student here in GAP explain Battle Cry in a great way if you would like to read her post go to: http://mylifegotflipped.blogspot.com/.
Kelsey another student here in GAP said "The most special, humbling and mindset changing 6 hours were spent in this room yesterday. God is so good & faithful & sovereign. We are so undeserving. Thankful that we can come boldly to His Throne of Grace and lay our burdens at His feet, that He understands, cares about and hears our cries. So thankful for the body of believers that is the Church and my GAP family."
