About Me

My photo
I created this blog to keep everyone updated about how things are going with my GAP year. I left the US on August 26th and returned May 4th. During GAP year I was taking classes in Spanish, theology, evangelism, and missions. I was working in a ministry called Metro, went to a Spanish church called Principe de Paz, and an English church called GGP. In the GAP year program I had the opportunity to be part of a weekly discipleship/small groups with the leaders in Costa Rica. God did great and mighty things in my life!! I am learned so much and I am falling more in love with Jesus, His word, and His people everyday! I would love it if you would continue to pray for me. Thanks for all of your support!

Sharing your testimony

At GGP Sunday night John talked about how Paul shared his testimony with courage (Acts 22:1-29) and how we should share our testimony. It's important to realize your testimony is not about you, but about Jesus. Also that your testimony is not your life story that is a bibliography.
The main points that need to be shared are:
1.) You were lost in sin
2.) Jesus saved you
3.) Jesus changed you
4.) Now you live for him

This church service really touched me because after he was done speaking then people from out church shared cardboard testimonies which is just when you write the main thing God changed in your life on a piece of cardboard for the whole church to see. I loved seeing how God worked in peoples lives. I am so thankful for how God works in us and draws us to Him. I'm so glad that God doesn't give up on us. He loves us so much I can't even fathom it. You can watch the whole service at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdIIy1Fh-4A. It really touched me and I hope it touches you too! Also you can go to http://ggatheringplace.com/ to watch other sermons from GGP. I encourage you to go watch them!!
