About Me

My photo
I created this blog to keep everyone updated about how things are going with my GAP year. I left the US on August 26th and returned May 4th. During GAP year I was taking classes in Spanish, theology, evangelism, and missions. I was working in a ministry called Metro, went to a Spanish church called Principe de Paz, and an English church called GGP. In the GAP year program I had the opportunity to be part of a weekly discipleship/small groups with the leaders in Costa Rica. God did great and mighty things in my life!! I am learned so much and I am falling more in love with Jesus, His word, and His people everyday! I would love it if you would continue to pray for me. Thanks for all of your support!

Things to pray about...

Ever since I arrived to Costa Rica there have been a number of students, interns, and leaders that have been sick. It still hasn't completely died off and it would be great if you would pray everyone would recover and not keep passing it around. I still have a stuffy nose mainly people are having colds.
My Spanish classes have gone better than expected. The last time I had a Spanish class was in 7th grade and I only had one semester of it. I was nervous about coming to Costa Rica mainly because of learning Spanish. Please pray that I continue to understand everything I am learning and will be able to speak it quickly.
Everyone is assigned a ministry that we do every Saturday. I was placed in a ministry called Metro. I don't really know much info about it. All I know is that it is in a very poor city and it is considered relatively dangerous and my group will mainly just be talking to the people there and building relationships with them. I am pretty anxious about tomorrow. I trust that God put me in just the right ministry though because of course He knows best not me. I just want to be able to communicate well and be able to connect with these people and really show them God's love.
Thanks everyone! I love you.
