"I believe I was created for more than a Christian spin on the American dream. I believe the purpose of my live is deeper than having a nice job, raising decent family, living a comfortable life, and tacking church attendance onto the end of it. I believe Jesus has called me to a much higher plane and given me a much greater dream. I believe God has shown me great grace in order that he might use me to accomplish the glorious, global, God-exalting purpose that has been primary since the beginning of time, and I don't want to settle for anything less than radical abandonment to that purpose."
I have never read something that so perfectly described my heart than this paragraph from the book Radical by David Platt. I plan on living my entire life in obedience to Christ whether that means living in a foreign country, learning a new language, whatever God wants me to do I will do it with enthusiasm. I know that the only way I will ever have true joy, contentment, peace, and feel like my life has meaning is by doing what God has called me to do and that's to share his love with people all over the world. That is my purpose in life and if you are also a Christ follower it is also your purpose too!!

About Me
- Desiree Johnson
- I created this blog to keep everyone updated about how things are going with my GAP year. I left the US on August 26th and returned May 4th. During GAP year I was taking classes in Spanish, theology, evangelism, and missions. I was working in a ministry called Metro, went to a Spanish church called Principe de Paz, and an English church called GGP. In the GAP year program I had the opportunity to be part of a weekly discipleship/small groups with the leaders in Costa Rica. God did great and mighty things in my life!! I am learned so much and I am falling more in love with Jesus, His word, and His people everyday! I would love it if you would continue to pray for me. Thanks for all of your support!
